Starting Friday, May 28, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced that the NJ mask mandate will be lifted. Vaccinated people will no longer be required to wear a facial covering, and unvaccinated people are strongly encouraged to continue masking. You can find all of the New Jersey reopening plans here: https://covid19.nj.gov.
Due to this new development, Iglesia Mision Cristiana has chosen to also follow these new guidelines. Masks will no longer be required in the church building. However, we strongly encourage all those who attend services to wear a facial covering. This is especially important for those who have been unable to receive the vaccine. Those who teach children’s classes on Sunday, Wednesday, and Fridays will continue to wear a mask to protect children who are still unable to receive the vaccine.
In addition to the new masking rules, guidelines regarding social distancing and building capacity have also changed. The capacity for our church building has increased which means that registration is no longer necessary. We will be removing the social distancing tapes from the church rows, but we strongly encourage families to continue sitting together. Please be conscious of your brothers and sisters around you and give space where needed.
In addition to this, here are several new updates:
We will no longer administer temperature checks.
Hand sanitizing stations will remain in place throughout the building.
We will continue to have two services to allow social distancing if desired.
We will still have masks available if you decide that you would like one.
Children will not be required to wear masks but the teachers will continue to use them.
Registration for Sunday services, Royal Rangers and Girls Ministry will no longer be needed.
Caution tape will be removed from rows but we encourage you to sit with your family.
